James "Jimmy" Wortham was born and raised on a family farm in southeast Grayson County, Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a major in Agriculture and a minor in Business. Most recently Jimmy finished a comprehensive career with the United States Department of Agriculture. He started his real estate career in 1990 as a licensed agent and appraiser where he focused on appraising farms, ranches, agri-businesses, and commercial properties. He and his wife Cindy currently live on a small farm near his family's homeplace where he raises honeybees and hay.
